If you are in Lisbon for a longer period than three days you should visit Sintra, one of the most beautiful places around Lisbon.

First you need to get there, there are two main options:

• Renting a car and you can get there in half an hour.
• Going by train taking 25 minutes from the Sete Rios or Rossio station, depending on the line (Schedule & Prices)

Then you can spend a day there and come back to Lisbon at night or you can enjoy an overnight in one of the hotels in and around Sintra.

• Palácio Seteais, one of the best options and also one of the most expensive.
• Tivoli Sintra, in the village, where we decided to stay to enjoy the village in the morning.
• Monte da Lua, next to the train station.

After getting there and having an hotel to stay, there are many things you can do and visit, this is our list:

• Eat a “Travesseiro” and a “Queijada” in Piriquita 
• Palácio da Pena (Pena Palace)
• Castelo dos Mouro (Moors castle)
• Palácio Nacional de Sintra (Sintra National Palace)

And this are thing we have already done and deserve a visit
