Land of a thousand Lakes
Finland is located in North Europe, between Russia and Sweden, some say the territory belongs to Scandinavia, others disagree.
From the northern city of Rovaniemi and the whole of Finnish Lapland to the cosmopolitan capital Helsinki, through medieval Turku or the historic center of Rauma, not forgetting the idyllic Aland Islands, the Karhunkierros trekking, the natural parks or the Savonlinna lakes, Finland offers a variety of activities that should be enjoyed during the long days of summer.

When to go
The tourist season in the famous south runs from the beginning of June until the end of August – during this period all attractions are open, there is more chance of accommodation, ferries and boats between the islands and the lakes are at their best. On top of that, the days are long and sunny.
In northern Finland, especially Lapland, already above the Arctic Circle, the best months to catch a glimpse of northern aurora are October and February / March. The high season takes place at Christmas, with peak demand in Rovaniemi to visit Santa’s village.
The capital, Helsinki, is popular all year round.
