Weather / when to go

The best time to visit Latvia is spring, when nature begins to come out of winter hibernation and river rapids are suitable for all water sports. The summer, which runs between June and the end of August, is not unpleasant, of course – in July, the hottest month, temperatures can reach 35 degrees – but in the second part of the summer it is common to rain a lot – it is a kind of microclimate Latvian: it is possible to sunbathe during the day, and suddenly, a storm falls, with thunderstorms and heavy rains.
